Sample photo. Real Red Brick jobs are on Our work as they are finished.

No more swapping small cylinders. We run a gas line from a new or existing propane tank to your outdoor kitchen, built-in grill and side burners, and to indoor ranges, cooktops, dryers and other gas appliances.

What the job includes

  • A free site visit and a written quote.
  • The run measured from the tank to each appliance.
  • A line sized for every appliance on it, pressure-tested before use.
  • The permit and inspections for your address.
  • With a new tank: the tank set to code and the first fill of propane.

Building a new outdoor kitchen?

Bring us in early, so the gas line can go in before the pavers and the countertops.

How it works

  1. Free site visit

We look at the property, where the tank can go and how far the gas line runs, and give you a written quote at the same visit.

  2. Permit and 811

We pull the permit for your address and call Sunshine 811 before any digging.

  3. Install and pressure test

We set the tank, run the line and pressure-test the system before it is used.

  4. Inspection and first fill

The building department inspects the work, and the first fill of propane is included.

Questions about this

Can you run gas to a range or outdoor kitchen?

Yes. We install gas lines to ranges, outdoor kitchens and grills, dryers and other gas appliances, from a new or existing tank. Every line is pressure-tested before it goes into use.

Do you do pressure tests and leak checks?

Yes. We do pressure testing and leak detection on propane systems, and can certify a system before your inspection. If you smell gas right now, leave the area and call 911 first.

Is it safe? How far from the house?

Propane tanks have to sit set distances from buildings, property lines and anything that could make a spark, under the national propane code (NFPA 58). For example, an above-ground tank of 125 to 500 gallons usually goes at least 10 feet from the house. We pick the exact spot at the site visit so it meets code, and every system is pressure-tested before it is used.

How much does it cost?

Every property is different. The price depends on the tank size, above ground or underground, how long the gas line is, and the local permit. That is why we price it at a free site visit: you get the full written price, with options, before any work starts.
